NASCAR: The Chase Continues

How about today's race! This was a good one, and it just goes to show how good the top 15 are, and the rest of the crowd can barely keep up. It's unfortunate that the Top 15 basically consist of the 4 major stables: Rousch, Hendrick, Gibbs, and Childress. Childress would have done better if Burton and Bowyer wouldn't have gotten caught up in messes. Burton a result of Blaney not being able to maintain speed, and Bowyer perhaps his own mistake of not being careful on Pit Road.  Congratulations to Carl Edwards on the win at Atlanta, unfortunately the 48 team increases his point lead. Dale Jr had a strong car, and it seemed as if he got some good long green runs he could've made it to the front, getting in 3rd place and gaining several times before a caution came out and put him back in the field. It took him about 30 laps to get his car right and zoom on back. Now don't get me wrong he did fall back in the pack several times, but when the combination was right he just motored his way back up. In the end with an 11th place finish, it seemed a typical day for Junior, running in the top 5, leading a lap, and finishing around 10th. We gotta close the deal fellas! That's ok, Texas and Phoenix has both been pleasant for Junior, so it'll still be exciting!

No posts for Lowes... thanks Goodyear!

Junior had strong cars in both those races and got caught up in some Bull.

So the Title Chase seems out of reach this year, but at least the equipment is there. So lets get some luck next year in 2009!
