Dale Junior's Second Run at Talladega 2010
Junior had a good car this race. Led the most laps of anyone in the race, and was consistently pushing people to the front. Burton was pushing around up the front as well. Unfortunately this expectation was not met by a combination of variables that both drivers chalked up to racing. Right after this shot they were both in the wall going 190+ mph. Both drivers were ok, but their days were ruined. Harvick was the big winner in this event gaining points being only 38 points out of the Championship Lead. With 3 races to go, this is defintely a 3 man race going into the stretch. Texas and Phoenix are the next 2 races and both have been won by Junior before, so if he can continue to finish out strong, it should be a good showing for next year. Junior will probably finish 19th in points this year which is a marked improvement from last year. With these strong restrictor plate cars, Daytona 2011 should be exciting. Homestead will be here soon.
