Letter to Dr. Ron Paul -Presidential Candidate 2008

Dear Dr. Paul,Good Luck in the Presidential Election. I disagree with you on your position with Iran. I have been following this specific issue and feel your stance on this issue is poor. Have you reviewed the IAEA reports on what Iran is and isn't doing? If you have, you would realize that Iran is not complying with UN regulations on nuclear transparency. If you have read any of the reports, you would understand that there is much to be found out about Iran's nuclear program. I understand that the UN is a failing institution filled with beaurocrats much like our current government, but it's tenets, like our US Constitution, is sound. I believe that the avenue for "business and friendship" with our neighbors should be contingent on their willingness for peace and prosperity. Threats of wiping out countries are unnecessary, much like the rhetoric from Senator Clinton. Iran indeed is very much a threat to National Security, and is like a child who continues to press the limits of structure at every opportunity. You would not give a friend a gun who continually says seriously that he's going to kill your neighbor, would you? Iran must fully comply to IAEA regulations. Your foreign policy plans are limited. I think that is a mistake. I believe that we should be a global presence, not only militarily, but diplomatically. We should aide when asked, our friends in the global community who are bullied. We don't want to live in a world where all guns are pointed at us, unknowingly.
